Dimmed links are ones you've ruled out: you skip them without thinking. The badge counts how many of your notes mention the page you're on.
Every recall surface answers the same question ("have I been here before, and what did I think?") without you having to open Obsidian and search.
Links you've marked are annotated right on the page; ruled-out links are dimmed so you skip them without spending a thought.

Land on a page you've judged before and a slim, dismissible banner shows your past conclusion, with "Open note" one click away.
Select "ruled out", "interested", or "done" (or design your own marks, with custom names, glyphs, and colors). The note is created for you.
Right-click any link to mark it or leave a note about it, without ever opening the page.
Changing your mind never erases why. Every change is appended to a dated Recall log in the note, so "why did I rule this out?" always has an answer.

Recall matches pages against a local index of your vault's URLs, built through the Obsidian Local REST API plugin on your own machine.
No servers, no accounts, no analytics. Your browsing history is matched locally and never transmitted anywhere.
Recall needs your explicit permission to read page addresses, and the settings page explains honestly what that permission is used for.
Annotations, hover cards, the banner, the badge: each one has its own toggle. Use exactly as much recall as you want.

The customizable capture this extension was originally known for (as Obsidian Web) is all still here. Send whole pages, selections, or metadata into your notes with Handlebars templates.
New in 4.0: templates can include the mark and note you've recorded via {{recall.mark}} and {{recall.message}}, so your clippings carry your judgment with them.
